What makes Fusion Mineral Paint different from chalk-style paints?
Fusion Mineral Paint is unique because it features a built-in top coat made of 100% acrylic resin. Unlike chalk-style paints, it does not require a wax or sealant finish, is waterproof once cured, and offers superior durability and adhesion.
Do I need to prime my furniture before painting?
In most cases, no. Fusion has excellent adhesion; however, we recommend a light sanding and cleaning with TSP. For high-gloss surfaces like laminate or glass, we suggest using our Ultra Grip bonding agent for the best results.
How long does it take for the paint to fully cure?
While Fusion paint is dry to the touch within 30 minutes to 2 hours, it takes approximately 21 days to fully cure. We recommend being gentle with your painted surfaces during this period to ensure the finish hardens completely.
What is your shipping policy for heavy liquids?
We offer specialized secure packaging to prevent leaks and damage during transit. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, and we offer free standard shipping on all domestic orders over $100.
Can I return a custom-mixed color or opened jar?
Due to the nature of the product, we can only accept returns on unopened, sealed jars within 30 days of purchase. Custom-mixed colors and used products are final sale to ensure quality control for all our customers.
Is Fusion Mineral Paint safe to use indoors?
Yes, Fusion Mineral Paint is non-toxic, lead-free, and contains zero VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). It has virtually no odor, making it safe for use indoors and around children or pets.
